It's too early to even think about dinner! We will probably be having pork tenderloin. It's grocery store day, so who knows what my mood might be after dealing with Krazy Kroger

Mine is the element, the guy came yesterday. Ordered and will be installed Thursday. At least the stop top works, and I always have the grill. Felix, I hope you get yours fixed soon.

I'm hoping mine is just the heating element and not the oven itself. It still functions as an oven, but without a broiler I'm pretty much screwed...I broil at least three meals out of five. :? The trouble is, it's not a combination oven and stove as most people have. The oven is built into the house, as is the stove top. On opposite walls of my kitchen. From 1962 when the house was built. Can't just get a new one, it'll require some remodeling.

Ah well. I have a much better attitude today after spending some time with my fabulous taxi driver, so I have relented and will cook. But I'm doing it on the stove.

Not sure exactly what I'll be adding to the pan, but I'm starting with some chicken and going from there. It'll end up being one of my infamous one-pot stew-like creations, which if it doesn't suck will get posted here later tonight. I also have a few of these left, so I'll serve them on the side. http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/crab-stuffed-cucumbers

Felix my stove is the same as yours "built-in". Less then desirable as it is old. Dh offer to buy me a new one a while back. You would have thought he was purchasing me the Crown Jewels in his presentation. I said very clearly that I needed a new kitchen not a new oven.

Then again this is the man that purchased me a new central vac replacing the old one because I showed interest in a new one. This was my 35th year anniversary gift. You remember this Denise? I have shown interest in a Lamborghini and a trip to Paris for two in April. I have not seen any of those?

Today has been a day of power outages. Weather is fine so someone must have hit something. There are times due to power outages that stores close here such as banks, groceries, hardware because their interact or tills do not function. You will not believe the time spent on resetting all the electronics in this house. The modern world is a pain in the butt.

*Snort*

Aww, geez. I did take some pork tenderloin out of the freezer. I guess I'll dry rub and grill it. I'm going to top with sauteed mushrooms, I think...and a big green salad with lots of tomatoes and cukes.

It's barely after midnight, but I already know what I'm doing tomorrow. I'm back to work (hockey game), so since I'm only cooking for me I'm having corned beef hash (from a can...LOVE that stuff!) with poached eggs on toast (warm milk poured over the toast).
