Happy weekend, Felix the show sounds fun. Hope you have great sales with your jewelry. I am working on a big presentation - so putting in crazy hours at work. DH cooks usally during the week - although I tend to give him the menu.

Last night I came home at 8:00 to baked tilapia, homemade sweet potato fries and green beans. Very delicious after a long day.

My youngest comes home from track camp today and he has been texting me how bad the food is. So tonight I am having grilled steaks ( for the boys - I am having grilled turkey tips ), Baked stuffed potatoes, Farro salad and sliced tomatoes. Ice cream sundaes for dessert.

Sounds perfect to me. DH cooked fish, fries and beans - kudos to him; and lucky you.

Steak, always sounds good to me.

And, for any of you up in MI who remember Sanders. They were in malls usually. Ice cream, sauces, chocolates, etc. I have a bottle of hot fudge. And, it is the only hot fudge I would ever put on ice cream.

I'm tempted to have an ice cream sunday tonight. I know, I'm biased; but, it is the best hot fudge ever.

Karen, I am sure your son will be very happy to get some home cooking!

Talking about ice cream sundaes .... I am thinking maybe smores sundaes for dessert - We will make s'mores at the fire pit - put them in a bowl, crunch up a bit and scoop of ice cream on top. insulin is optional LOL. too sweet for me - but perfect for a teenager.

Too sweet for me too. I rarely eat ice cream; but, I have a really nice small pint of homemade vanilla; so, I'm thinking I will risk it.

Your sundaes sound truly decadent!!!

Tonight we are going to a potluck party. I am bringing cucumber/tomato salad with italian dressing poured over, and sweet corn. It's coming to a boil now. Party starts at 4. Hope it doesn't rain us out!

Sending good thoughts Dis. After wasting an entire gallon container of weed killer; I tried again today. Success; at least it had 8 hours. No rain so far, and doesnt look like it.

Hopefully, NO rain for you. I'll keep the rain gods busy down here.

Have fun!

I love tomato and cucumber salad. Wish we had some rain here it is pretty dry. I have given up on the weeds - I have decided that I am OK with a ratty looking back yard. I just burn out on it this time of the year.

Those sundaes are really too sweet for me ... but my 15 year old can and will eat everything. His brother is more discerning. he just ate most of my fruit that I had stashed in the fridge. he really loves citrus and will oranges 2 and 3 at a time.

Morning all!
Just stopping by to say "hello" since I have not had the time to be active in any of the forums.

Last night I made Brady Bunch Pork Chops, a huge favorite here. Creamed sauce with peas over rice affectionately known as "pea gravy" here. :D
I brown them quickly in the pan, and finish them off in the oven. We like to squirt lemon juice on them. I know it may sons od but, try it, you'll love it that way too.

Not sure what I'll be making tonight. I'll figure it out later.
Sunday night dinner is always spent with our 90 y/o neighbor. I wanna be here when I grow up.

Have a wonderful Sunday and I'll pop in again when I can. We are slowly settling into our new home and still have lots to do. This morning I am taking care of the landscaping at "the other house". Send some "sell house, SELL" wishes this way!

MMMM Pork Chops and creamed peas sounds great. How do you make Brady Bunch porkchops. I seriously can not make a good chop for anything - but I keep trying. I keep remembering my grandmas - but I think the pork is so dry now.

Hopefully your house sells, the market is still pretty slow in New England - hope its better in your area.

I ended up with grilled turkey, sliced thin over crispy polenta and a spinach salad.

This AM - everyone is snoozing - so I am enjoying some computer time and a nice hearty breakfast burrito. Peppers, Onions , Jalapenos, Garlic, Black beans and a whole wheat tortilla toppped with a fried egg.

Its the time of the year when I am tired of the grill. I am thinking of chicken pot pie for dinner. I have everything on hand - just need to put it into a pie crust and bake.

Morning Everyone!

Hope that everyone is having a nice weekend. Got a lot done yesterday; but, need to still get out in the yard for a bit more TLC. Karen, I have the weed issues in my beds because my neighbor doesn't take care of his. Also, it is so HOT now; it is hard to keep anything alive. I just replanted everything, but I have to water daily.

Chicago, glad to see you; I know moving into a new house is hectic, especially if you do any updates or renovations. Moving is bad enough.
Karen, your brekkie sounds delicious; I had cottage cheese and mango. Wasn't too bad. Turkey and polenta sounds really good as well. I really love polenta.

My cooking ... Not too sure
Lady #3: Chicken and cheese stuffed shells, spinach, pine nuts, and olive salad; olive oil cake w/berries

Me: An artist I know is having an open house with a few other artists out at her farm this afternoon. They are having some appies, wine, etc. Her sister is catering the food who I know is a great cook.
So, dinner probably a BLT, tuna melt, etc. I could also make a quick gazpacho too; I have enough veggies on hand, and it's so easy.
