Easy day for me today, and planning an easy dinner too.
Crockpot bbq chicken over baked sweet potatoes.

I'm creating a new stir-fry recipe. Pork marinated in spicy garlic Teriyaki sauce, broccoli, water chestnuts, carrots, baby bellas...probably some other stuff depending on what I find in my kitchen. Served over brown rice.

Sounds tasty; water chestnuts are one of my favorite things to use in stir fry; and great to have in the pantry.

It's a really spicy Indian curry from the Goan region. The vin comes from vin meaning wine of course but more commonly now made with vinegar--and aloo means potatoes like aloo gobi, but the name stuck for any preparation of that kind of curry. In Indian restaurants, it is the hottest curry you can get without asking them to adjust the spice level. It is quite good. I don't find it excessively spicy but I am not the norm.

I'm just learning to like curry; I usually go very bland; however, I really do like spicy food. Interesting. Thx for the info. Sounds tasty!

Morning!

Wow, we had such a nice 1hr rain last night. We needed it. It really was nice; but, after the rain, humidity went up; and it was very sticky last night without the AC on. I was planning on some yard work - but everything is soggy

I brought home work from 'work,' so, I guess that is the plan.

Easy dinner ... A couple of Hot Italian sausages on the grill; also on the grill, mixed peppers, onions; and summer squash w/monterey jack cheese.

I need to make a small pot of soup; but trying to decide what to make. Maybe only grill one sausage tonight, and keep the other for a simple soup. I thin QB just made Shapes Easy Hamburger Soup. Maybe I could use the sausage instead. I also have a bag of frozen soup veggies to use up. That might work.
