Being the challenging year one of the summer perks, Cathy's Brandy Wine tomato weighing almost a pound grown in her garden box and one of my green peppers grown in a pot.

Clicks in early this morning.

A chilly rainy day all the while hoping we do not have a heavy rain before that roof is fixed as leaking into my bathroom, just as it's been doing since the first spring five years ago and since when it was done, New roofs are not supposed to leak! My neighbor just remodeled his house as well as two rentals so got referrals, this time am sure I am in good hands but once again ends up on my dime.

Had it inspected on Saturday and will be repaired as soon as it drys. Confirmed as we maintained five years ago when it leaked at the first spring rain! The water pools as not done right and does the ice damning thing. Like who knew they did a poor job til it rained and of course the claim was signed off! Thinking positive and going forward. Off to elevate that leg and cuddle with the fur babies.

Been Clicking.

We had a real thunder banger, wind and lightening display last night, once again missed the brunt of the storm and still the severe storm and tornado warning on for today.

Spending a quiet Sunday with my furbabies. Wishing everyone a happy Sunday.

So very true Gerry! If we could only do that everyday! Life here the past couple of days has been hectic. And today is not looking any better! Gettin' to old for this lifestyle these days. Not complaining...just sayin!

Happy you are having a quiet day with your fur babies and resting!!! :-)

Again a dull and overcast morning, initially thought to smoke but weather channel says "Fog Advisory' all the while hoping I can manage some outdoor activities today.

Never know quite what to expect come morning, today woke to a new Red Alert 'Heat Alert' have to hope I can manage all the watering of the potted plants as well as garden boxes as they look dry before it gets too hot. Seems heat and wind won this round or likely more thunder and lightening than there was rain.

Loving your animal quotes Patti which had me check out my Quote Folder for Animal Babies ... this one had me look over my little fur baby and smile!

A slower morning, dull out hoping no smoke as see the Red Heat Alert is still in place as needing to get to a few outdoor garden chores. Grocery delivery due with chocolate chippits on the list, sometime today there will be Chocolate Chip Cookies, a new recipe that sounds like a winner. Temperatures will see how the day unfolds.

Gads Gerry...your quote sent me into gales of laughter...because I GET It...just like YOU!!! LOL

We too are heading into another heat wave...32C for days to come. Whew! Thank goodness I got all the mowing done, so no outside chores this week. And if there is...I will be doing it EARLY in the morn.

Been an early morning here as well as a chilly one, feels like 3 has a fall feel to it, me looking for more of the warm and sunny. Been up since the crack of dawn and still falling short on the '10 extra chores a day' but sun is trying to shine so should get to that soon - or not depending on just how much elevating I need to do. This is getting old.

Love your friendship quote Patti! Had me think to Helen Keller's ""True friends are never apart; maybe in distance but never in heart." Both so right on.

Got to reviewing #recipe21937 and saw I missed your review a few years back but better late than never for this 'you can't just eat one kind of cookie' so ... yes a winner that I have added to my Family Favourites Cookbook.

One can always hope ...
