We too have been been getting thunder every day...nothing serious in our neck of the woods though. But it is forecasted that we are to get a big storm this week.

What a lovely analogy in your quote Gerry! :-)

Mark Twain always says it so well, I enjoy his quotes Patti.

With the heavy rain yesterday was an indoor day, made a big dent in some have to dos. Today hoping to do the same in the garden. Enjoyed a big pot of freshly picked buttered beans with dill for my evening meal - finally! Surprisingly this year the bush beans and the pole beans started producing at the same time. My pole bean choices now see me with great tasting round yellow, the wonderful Gold Marie along with the awesome green Seychelles. I foresee pickled beans in my future. And ... the pea varieties from a specialty place via a gran purple and green snow peas are ready for snacking and stir fries.

Ah...wonderful to be able to eat of your harvest Gerry! :-) I miss the great flavour of homegrown!!!

With the thunderstorm yesterday morning...we did have a lot of rain with it! It sure helped to quell the angst about the lightning! We are expecting more of the same in the next few days.

And another giggle for this morning....

Did make a dent in my garden yesterday with the initial watering followed by rain I sat on my 'cardboard cushion' no down on the knees saw my kneeling pad a touch small for sitting I removed a solid stretch of annual self seeded grass with not a blade or weed left behind! Admittedly at days end I barely managed picking beans for my evening meal and then it was off to bed!

Already managed the 'moving the ten unplanned chores a day' this morning, a declutter tip from my daughter. It can be big jobs or a matter of small unplanned chores needing to be done. Seriously wanting back to my "place for everything and everything in it''s place"

Right now it's down to essentials as our family gatherings start on the 23rd with my long weekend birthday seeing to our family gathering and celebrating my September birthday. My Toronto gran has an awesome menu in the planning for the Sunday celebration which we are planning via messenger! Another coffee and out the door to the garden. PS just saw your post, your quote made for my laugh of the day!

I like this quote, how I wish this troubled world of ours would see more and more feeling the same way. "Today will not come again, Be a Blessing. Be a friend. Take time to care"

A busy morning as I try to get things in order, countdown ... three days! Looking forward to the the arrival of my Toronto gran and the start of our family get togethers. A few more indoor must dos this morning and out to get the yard and garden in a semblance of order!

It's a dull morning hopefully not smoke. I see we are once again under storm and tornado warnings thankfully we seem to be on the outer edge but family members to the south are once again in the risk area.

All too true ... "You will never find time for doing all you would like to do, if you want time you must make it"

Countdown here, come Friday going to be two weeks of marvelous family time! Just came in to cool down a bit, likely best if I wait til after six to head back out. Checked the weather found it is 34 feels like 35 C, blazing hot why was I out there!

That said today's quote another reminder for both of us Patti and guessing a good number of others ... "You will never find time for everything. If you want time you must make it"

It's been a long three years, can hardly wait until until that plane lands on Friday morning! Meanwhile need to get to some essentials. Have a major grocery order being delivered this morning. We are still having grocery issues due to a cyberattack so not sure just what I will get. I ordered the heavier items a good variety of soft drinks, juices and such to get to the garage fridges. Reminds me the small fridge needs a refresh before filling. Fingers crossed that most items are available to get ahead of the game!

Hope all is going as planned at your house Patti. Now off to the garden.
