Morning Everyone!
TGIF !

Sue, I try so hard to stay on track ... but we all hit speed bumps don't we. Curry sounds good. It is something I'm just learning to like; trying different blends to see what I like best.

HF, sounds like you are feeling better; Chicken apple sausages or delicious. I often buy Aidelle (sp?) when they go on sale - they have some great unique flavors.

Shadows, enjoy your night off.

Well, my friends were supposed to be flying in to Tampa today ... but from St. Louis. They don't think they can get out in time. So my dinner plans with them will have to wait.

Today's Cooking ...

Ladies #1 and #2: Card/Game Night (every Fri) - Pizza and Salad
Individual pizzas - veggie / ham, mushroom, onion / sausage and peppers; Italian salad; and chocolate cake with a caramel pecan topping

Me: Invited my g/f for dinner. I'm helping her plan a b'day for her parents, so we might as well meet tonight vs next week. Dinner, lentil soup (freezer stash); grilled ham/cheese. And, she wants to make fried pickles, w/garlic aioli

Morning Everyone!
It's the weekend.

Well, my company finally got a flight out of Kansas City yesterday, but went straight to their parents in Ft Myers, south of me. They will be up to see me tomorrow night which is good because I have a potluck to go to tonight.

My friends do this 3-4x/yr. 8 houses in the cul de sac get together and have the party right in the center. A big tent, a couple of turkey friers and grills. They rent table and chairs; and they do a great job organizing. The kids play basketball and soccer; great music and good food.

Making my Chicken Apple Sausage Bites w/Crostini (recipe to be posted); and a big jug of sangria; this is from another site, but I love this recipe and have made it many times over and over.
- 3 1/4 cups dry red wine
- 1/3 cup brandy
- 1/3 cup Cointreau
- 1/3 cup lemon flavored vodka
1 lemon, orange, and lime, sliced
1 pear, diced
1 cup peaches, sliced
2 cups strawberries
- 1 bottle lemon lime soda
- 1/3 cup sugar

It is Saturday, so probably Chinese tonight. If not, then leftovers - have quite a few to choose from (Sausage & Kraut with Apples, some Peirogies I made last night, a few other odds and ends).

I'm still here, Ninner to the best of my knowledge is not. After being treated like crap, it's hard to be enthusiastic.

Good to see you Felix. I've missed you and your posts. Hope Ninner comes back. You ladies have added a lot to this site and it isn't the same without you in my not so humble opinion.

Felix, I am glad to see you. I'm am truly sorry Ninner feels that way; I don't think any of us at Zazz intended her to get that impression; but, she has to do what is right for her. I hope she is doing well; but, I hope we see you back here more.

How is your foot doing? I hope that you are at least up and about a bit more, and without as much pain. My foot I shattered last year, still hurts. I think it is never ending; but, I do hope you are getting around better.

Looks like you may get some snow coming your way; hopefully not as bad as Q. My friends on vaca were stuck in Kansas City for 2 days due to the snow and still digging out. This time of year ... you never know.

Thx Shadows, it was fun. ATE too much. They try to wrap up right before dark so they can get everything put away. About 60 this year, some of the other neighbors came ... good time by all.
Steak and spuds, good for me.

HF, with kraut and sausages in the house. I wouldn't look further; add perogies and Chinese doesn't come close, lol.

I'm hoping to grill tomorrow ... hopefully, the rain will hold off.
