Grill Fest V -- YES, once again, another night on the GRILL!!
Not working till 11pm, so I had time to get on the grill tonight. NO recipes posted, sorry, guys, but just a few very easy things to do.
1) Salmon, seasoned with my FAVE William Sonoma Lemon Herb Seasoning; but use any lemon herb seasoning. And a fresh dill sprig, and fresh squeeze of lemon. Just grill on the grates first for 2 minutes, then transfer to foil to finish. Nothing else.
2) Sauce ... Yes on the grill too. 1/3 cup heavy cream, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1 fresh dill sprig and 2-3 basil leaves on indirect heat for 10-15 minutes until it reduces by half. That's it. Just season with a little dill (optional), salt and pepper before serving. Spoon over the fish, delish and easy.
3) Potatoes ... As you can see in the pouch. Frozen pearl onions (right out of the freezer), red potatoes cut in quarters, 1 tsp garlic, s/p, 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning, and olive oil. Close up and grill, easy peasy.
4) Salad, season with an all purpose s/p seasoning w/olive oil and grill lightly charred - top with fresh garden tomatoes and a balsamic vinaigrette.

Re: Pre-Summer Grill Fest
Thx QB, appreciate it.
Actually, it is so easy, and less work than recipes inside at times. I try to use fresh fruit, vinaigrettes, herbs, etc. And, I always try if cooking 1 thing on the grill, to figure out how to grill the rest on the grill.
I love the flavor because you do get a nice smoky flavor even those the salmon was finished on the grill.
I know I eat a lot of romaine and tomatoes, but when I started growing my tomato plants, I didn't know HOW many tomatoes I would have. TONS ... But, I do really enjoy a good salad, and it is something I make a lot and enjoy. I planned cucumber tonight, but someone left it in the plastic bag too long and it was bad. I hate that! My bad.
But thx, it was a good night.
