I have decided that whatever leftovers are left can just go in the trash, because I'm sick of them and it's pretty much too late to bother freezing them. Hate to waste the money, but whatever.

So tonight will be...I dunno...fish? I've got to work tonight loading out the symphony we put in on Monday, and it's going to be ugly, heavy, hard labour, so nothing heavy. I'm thinking fish or maybe fake crab something. Maybe fish with a fake crab topping? That might work...make the crab filling I usually stuff into chicken breast and bake the fish with it on top (I'd stuff it, but they're those thin frozen fillets). With some beets and another vegetable.

I cannot tell you how badly I hope grocery sales pick up next week!

Felix, fish is my favorite!

Reservations made for Italian tonight but still to be confirmed. We have decided if that is not a go we will try for a German restaurant we all like. I spent a lot of time in Germany & know what it should taste like. This restaurant is very nice with good beer.

I'm going with my old faithful, Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos Verde. Seems like I always fall back on that recipe. But the guys love it and they can use the leftovers on top nachos tomorrow

It's cold, cloudy and windy here today, so I am making homemade chicken noodle soup.

Beautiful day here. So it's grilled ribeyes, baked potatoes and something green!

Morning!

We were supposed to get lots of rain yesterday; well some parts of FL did, north and south of us. We got a nice rain Friday night, but hardly anything Sat/Sat night/this am. Very strange weather. But cooler all week in the 70's and low in the 50's, crazy!!

Well, I loved my seafood lunch and pigged out; broasted oysters, calamari, shrimp and clam chowder - we all shared. NO dinner for me.

Today, lots of house work putting it all back together after all the work, and it won't be done it just one day trust me.

Dinner:
Ravioli, cheese and spinach I made last month. Topped with a mushroom shallot sauce. NO cream, just a light white wine and butter sauce, but not too much. On the side a fresh mozzarella and tomato salad with basil. Caprese like.

High of 38F with rain coming in late. I am grilling Felix's marinated chicken with mashed potatoes, salad & roasted broccoli with mushrooms.

Unable to get a reservation at the Italian last night so we all went to the German restaurant. Very nice, I had the Vienna Schnitzel. The veg. dish was excellent with fresh veg. in season with a touch of garlic. Way better then mine. I will have to work on that!

Today I have to go & see what is wrong with my 4m. old Tablet. Used it yesterday morning & last night would not turn on. Pain in the butt.

We have a really good German place too Nin, but it is a good hour drive, even though logistically it isn't over 30 mi. Just lights and traffic, but it is fantastic. Very authentic and worth going to it now and then. Nice that you have one close by.

Stay warm g/f, sounds chilly!!

Busy day, have to go to Home Depot and exchange a light for the kitchen and pick up some other stuff. Installing ceiling fan in the master, etc. So something easy. Not sure what that will be yet :D

Church, the soup (last night ham/pea), salad, tea/coffee & desert is included in the main. So the price is very good. Plus they have one main special of the night. Then there are several German beers on tap which are very good. Small place, so often hard to get a reservation at the last minute unless you want to eat at 5.30pm which none of us do.
