your right Heather why all in one day?

it took me a ton of time to clean up all the cat food I had it all over my kitchen and dining room, the other day they ruined my blinds that I had in my bedroom so I now need to replace those with a different kind of one piece roll blind

Dee at first I was not a happy camper, now it's getting much easier for me still I do miss my house and my big yard, some days I wonder if I made the right decision, I think as time goes on I will be just fine but at this point in time I'm just not feeling the love lol!
Hmmm, Robby and I are still talking about a condo in Florida...it's getting harder and harder for us to maintain this house and yard. We'd be a lot poorer due to the upkeep fees, but we'd be in a community instead of in the boonies. Do you have any thoughts one way or the other?

well Dee I would say if you still have your partner and in good health stay in your house, a condo is great but NOTHING like your own house, for me because I was alone I think it was a right decision although I do miss my house at least there are perks in a condo

Before my divorce, I lived in a condo in FL. I rented, but the owners had a lot of stuff included in their condo that they didn't have to worry about - such as free maintenance on their appliances for the first few years, free gardening, plus the facilities in the community. I also lived in a condo when I was in CT and it was similar - all of the exterior maintenance (including snow shoveling and gardening) was all included, which really cut down on costs. Also, my heating/electric etc bills were far far lower in the condos compared to the house I am living in now. I am still in FL, in the same city, and my electric bills are much higher plus I have allll the annoying yard word to deal with.
It is not terribly expensive to live in FL compared to many other places I have lived. Housing prices are really low here. Food seems to be more expensive but not outrageous, as is gas for cars.

for sure the bills are a ton less than a large home that is one great perk but you still have the high condo fees and yearly taxes and I still need to maintain the small piece of grass I have as a yard

Thanks for the input guys. I'm not sure we'll ever move...just something in the back of our minds. I kinda like the golfing communities with the modular homes...maintenance fees are about the same as condos. I'm still not sure if we could afford it, but I can't stand the thought of letting this place go down hill.

Yep, having one today. Rhett has been a total brat all day. Digging in the yard, jumping on sister dog, you name it. He is at my side, on the leash and wine is flowing, LOL.
