I love twice baked potatoes! One of my favorites!

Pork roast was on sale this week for $1.66 a pound, so I got a huge roast, made in crockpot all day, separated the meat from all the fat, believe me they were fatty roasts, and made pulled pork bbq. Me and son enjoyed. Hubby, has never liked pork roasts, so he ate some, but that was about it. OH well, I liked it and he can find other food if he didn't appreciate my attempt at a good dinner. I will freeze whats left after tomorrow for meals for me and son in the future. Not sure why he doesn't like it? Who can resist pulled pork sandwiches? OH WELL...I make him good meals all month, he will live with a meal that me and my son enjoy!

I just wanted to say, he didnt complain at all, I just know it wasn't a good meal in his eyes. He has always told me to make what we like, not just what he likes, but its hard. I want to him to like supper too! ;)

Pulled pork ... count me in. Love it! You always cook good meals Dis. But, I understand ... you want everyone to like it; but, sometimes you can't please everyone. My ex was similar; he never really complained. But, I knew there were some that were not his favorites.

Great deal on the pork too!

Morning!

Well, the cold has arrived here - 59 this am, and the temp is fall. 56-57 for a high today - brrrrr. Chilly day for sure. Work was cancelled last night due to weather; so, I will be busy all day on the computer trying to catch up.

Today's Cooking ...
Continuing to do some prep for Tday

Lady #3: http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/salmon-soup-14151, I will add a little cream too; homemade whole wheat bread; mixed citrus salad

Me: Soup, I have potato in the freezer; leftover meatloaf turned into a quesadilla, with sauteed onions and provolone cheese. COLD weather sounds like a good soup and sandwich night.

And, my spiced apple/cranberry cider, with a little bourbon too!

Deepster wrote:That sounds like a winner to me, lovin!! It's frigid here today, and tonight/tomorrow are to be worse. I will have two small steak/Swiss biscuits with some MW chips tonight. I still have plenty of steak leftover from yesterday's London broil. I am much enjoying it as I have bought very little beef recently due to the price. I got this with my in store savings card at 3.98/lb.....marked down from 7.59/lb, so I felt pretty good about the price. To me, 7.59/lb is too much for any cut of beef, but that's been the lay of the grocery land for some time now. A decent strip or T bone would be about 13.00/lb, so I've been avoiding steaks altogether!
I don't "Tweet", so don't laugh at me, but what is MW chips? That's really a bargain on the steak. I was able to get some strip steaks recently at the local warehouse club for $7.99 per pound. At the grocery store, they're about $12.99. So I cut each of the four steaks in half instead of each of us eating a whole one. That way I got 4 meals for the 2 of us.

Sure tasted good sitting there looking out at the cold snowy day. I sure wish we could hibernate from November through March. Then we could wake up all skinny and start all over again.
HAHAH!!
I'm with you on that one! :D :D :D

I could take some 59° "cold". We woke up this morning to -5 wind chill factor. But that's Ohio for you. I just hope this isn't a pattern for the rest of the winter.
Think I'll make chicken breast some way with spaghetti squash for tonight.

We still have lots of pulled pork left. SO I thinking of making hubby some pancakes and let me son eat more pulled pork. He loves pancakes, so he should be happy with that!

Morning!

Guys, steak is so expensive right now - crazy. Good deal on the steaks.
You guys, 30's wind chill this am. COLD, yes, I am a whimp trust me.

But, I feel for those dealing with the lake effect snows right now; especially those near Buffalo. Stay safe everyone. COLD lots of places right now. Hopefully warmer for the holidays.

Doing more holiday prep today which I didn't do yesterday. But, no work today; just catching up on reports I need to turn in. So, pretty easy.

Today's Cooking ...

Ladies #1 and #2, plus 4 - Dinner Party: Small grilled fillets and danish lobster tails - the steak, a simple montreal based seasoning w/citrus, and the lobster a citrus butter; individual baked gratin dishes w/potatoes, topped w/asparagus, a poached egg, and hollandaise, finished with baby mixed greens; and chocolate mousse (their favorite), whipped topping
Sounds fancy; but, actually, very easy to prepare. Slicing the potatoes and the eggs are the hardest part, lol.

Me: Grilled salmon w/a sour cream dill sauce; foil cooked carrots; grilled stuffed tomato w/a stuffing mix, herbs, and Feta
It will be cold grilling; but, it cooks quick luckily. And, I will light the fire pit too.

I almost bought a spaghetti squash yesterday. I figured I have so much to use up before Tday; so maybe after. I don't eat it often; not sure why, I really do enjoy it. I think I need to clean out the fridge first.
