My pasta which is a mix of all kinds of veggies, sauce and cheese is thawing. Nuke and Eat! That is is before I getting cooking again for tomorrow. It's filling, somewhat healthy as in mostly veggies and not too much. A nice cocktail and I'm good to go!

Cooking for One lady today, getting ready to drop everything off. Almost done, Waiting on the turkey that isn't cooperating.

But it is tender, just not cooking as quick as it should ... probably knows I'm in a hurry.
Sides ... spuds done, stuffing, pie, veggies, rolls, homemade butter (yes, I know I'm nuts), cranberry, turkey, ham. All the traditional stuff.

My Thanksgiving has changed. My son has to work, emergency, my neighbor ... long story backed out. So I have a full turkey day for me - sort of pissed, but my son will be over later to pick up a package, and not mad at him, he has to work.

But enjoying the day and catching up on some emails and phone calls to friends up north.

When the turkey finally decides it is done, the other turkey goes in

HAPPY TURKEY DAY TO ALL, be safe if you are traveling and enjoy the day!!

I just now nailed down my menu for today. Stupid work made me procrastinate.

Turkey breast (in the crock pot with some garlic, an envelope of onion soup mix, and some chicken broth), oat dressing (recipe to follow, I'm totally winging it), green bean casserole (the recipe on the side of the French's fried onion can), pickled red cabbage (Aunt Nellie's, no other brand will do), Grands flaky layer biscuits (I suck at biscuits), baked sweet potato (they're the size of my head so we're splitting one...I oil them and wrap them in foil and bake like a regular potato), and a dessert I got from F.com (called Pineapple and Mandarin Orange Dessert).

I haven't had time to cook Thanksgiving dinner for twelve years...it's actually fun again!

I have a 12 pound turkey in the smoker with apple wood chips for the smoke. Home made giblet dressing, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole and of course a pumpkin pie. :D Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Leftovers are great! I don't know what we were thinking. There is only 6 of us, yet we made a 12 pound turkey and a ham! :o I just put like 3/4 of the ham into the freezer for soups and casseroles! Still have a bunch left out for eating!

No real cooking today unless you call microwaving leftovers, cooking!
