Hi Bea

. Thank you. I am trying to get back into the grove of posting cause I miss being around here and have started getting back into trying new recipes again recently
Hey Dissie, it's a small grain and it has a slight nutty taste. The main thing when cooking quinoa is to remember to wash it well before you actually cook it cause the outer part has a bitter tasting coating on it. I usually soak mine for 5 mins and then put in it sieve (with tiny holes so they won't fall through

) and run it under water using a whisk for good measure, to wash it before I cook it. If you look it up, there should be better description than what I gave. It might sound like a lot of work but it isn't. The washing it out takes about a minute. Oh but to avoid that, there are some brands which are pre-washed to remove the bitter coating it has. You'll have to read the package to be sure.
Hey KC, I actually don't eat much quinoa by itself either so that's why I love incorporating it in other recipes too. It sure would make a good dinner since they aren't sweet (for my taste) on their own.
