Question about food.com

Post by vacox » Tue Apr 28, 2015 1:00 pm

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if it's OK to ask this question here... but here goes. I followed KittenCal over here a long time ago from recipezaar/food.com--I haven't been here in a while and am really glad to see how well the site is doing. Although I use many sites, I still have a lot of recipes on food.com. What is going on over there? Does anyone know? I hadn't been on in a while, and about a month or so ago I went to find one of my recipes. It is awful. I can't print the recipes anymore, the search is awful, the site design is awful. I sent them an email, but never heard anything. Their blogs/facebook/etc. are strictly rah-rah areas and I cannot find anywhere to ask other users questions. At this point, I'd like to just get off there but since I can't print from their site (something in their pdfs causes my printer to hang) it's quite a project to save off the recipes. I just wanted to rant and see if anyone else is having issues or if I am just crazy.... :-) Thanks,

Vanessa

Hi Vanessa!

No problem you can ask away :)

Not sure about that site I don't go there anymore, I moved my recipes over here years ago, I do know they have made some major changes, I'm sorry that you are having some issues over there I wish I could help you but as I mentioned I don't go there anymore...

Anyway it's nice to see you here at Recipezazz!

I can print; but, have so many issues. Many recipes got screwed up, I can't find many of my recipes; searches are horrible too.

And, I have contacted them 3x. NO response either.

But, it is nice to meet you; and, welcome aboard.

Thank you all, nice to meet all of you. kchurchill5, I'm sorry you're having problems finding the recipes. At least I have been able to find what I've looked for. Just can't print. I hate that they've made it so we cannot communicate with other users anymore, or with them (as they do not respond--I've sent 2 messages). Thanks!

I have not been able to print any of mine or others recipes from that site for the last 4 months! Thank the gods I had already moved the majority of my recipes to my computer or here!
That is all I am going to say about that joke of a site!

Shadows1--ugh, I guess you have the same problem I have. I told myself I'd get all my recipes off after the first redesign fiasco there, but never did. Now I will pay.... They took a great site (recipezaar) and completely destroyed it. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like it.
