I gaffawed over your quote Gerry! I guess we are heroes as I try to have a power nap everyday to get through the evening routine.

We have clear skies and very bitter cold winds here today. I bundle up so much I look like a big waddling duck when I take the pooches out (5 times a day). I am so over the cold.

Here is another Rumi quote for you:

“Be like the sun for grace and mercy. Be like the night to cover others' faults. Be like running water for generosity. Be like death for rage and anger. Be like the Earth for modesty. Appear as you are. Be as you appear.” Rumi

Clicks are in.

The highway report is not good, blowing snow and white outs with temps at feels like minus 27 has me thinking another postponement for Zoey's much needed groom. If it does go forward lunch is Feather bread, pasta and green salad with mini cheesecake. Again will see how the day unfolds.

Ahh as to naps for years I envied dh being able to do a power nap be it 15 minutes or half an hour, me times I wish I could drop off for half an hour or an hour and recharge!

This one is for you Patti ... I am guessing it's shovel to get to the wood shed!

Happy to say Zoey's groom went ahead, to make it easier for her will do the rest next week. We enjoyed our lunch which ended up with mini cheese cake.

Happy Sunday!

Happy to hear that Zoey got most of her groom done! AND you got to eat cheesecake...how wonderful is that??!! Lucky lady! :-)

Love your two quotes...the first one I would be shoveling because it would not be pretty watching me get up...LOL. And the second quote...I live that everyday! Just did not know it was in print.

I love this quote:

“In friendship...we think we have chosen our peers. In reality a few years' difference in the dates of our births, a few more miles between certain houses, the choice of one university instead of another...the accident of a topic being raised or not raised at a first meeting--any of these chances might have kept us apart. But, for a Christian, there are, strictly speaking no chances. A secret master of ceremonies has been at work. Christ, who said to the disciples, "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you," can truly say to every group of Christian friends, "Ye have not chosen one another but I have chosen you for one another." The friendship is not a reward for our discriminating and good taste in finding one another out. It is the instrument by which God reveals to each of us the beauties of others.” C.S. A very dull feels like minus 14 morning but seems we are to warm to zero today. A sunny day would be good.

Your C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves quote a wonderful way to start the day Patti.

"Five signs you are doing well in life. You have a cat. You have two cats or more. You know someone with a cat. You love cats - they love you"

OMW...that cat video this morning (cat carrying a favvy blanket around) was just the cutest thing evah!

It is -8C this morning...good thing...no new snow! And that makes for a easier day for hauling wood. We have been having bitter winds with the no snow. It is always something! LOL

We are heading for a deep freeze in a couple of days. So have been bringing lots of wood so I don't have to go out in that kind of cold.

It is -20C here right now. Expected to go down to -25C. I have lots of wood stacked in the basement and lots of cedar kindling made...so we are good for awhile.

My pooches are not going to like this cold snap we are coming into. Good thing?...when I take them out (5 times a day)...they do their business really quickly! LOL

This quote made me giggle:

Been clicking.

Been a week, seeing another 'extreme cold warning' I do not doubt it seeing it already was "feels like minus 36 early in the evening. All said and done give thanks it's warm in here and already turned on the heated mattress pad so that too will be nice and warm.

Love that quote and yes chuckles at my end too.
