Please pray for my friend

Post by Dissie » Wed May 29, 2013 9:04 pm

A great guy I know from work had a horrible weekend. He doesn't even know the most of it. He is 66 and his name is Bob. He planned to take this whole week off to get the house painting done.

He was painting his house and had a heart attack, fell off the ladder and hurt his head on the fall. Brain swelled. The hospital put him in a medically induced coma for the brain swell. They took him to a local hospital, but he needed a bigger hospital to care for him so transferred him to St Cloud for the medical care. He is stable but in a coma.

His wife on Monday, god bless her please, was on the way to the hospital, about an hour and a half away, and had a heart attack and passed away. Bob has no idea as he is still in a coma. Please pray for my friend Bob and his family. I hope the shock when they wake him up and let him know what has happened doesn't cause him more harm. I work with his grandson Cory too, its all so sad. Just too horrible for words. Please say a prayer for Bob and his family, it will be deeply appreciated.

Oh Dissie, for some things in life there are no words, this has to be one of them. My heart goes out to your friends, prayers are a given. I will be keeping them close in both thought and prayer.

Dissie,

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. My heart goes out to his family and friends. It is such a sad situation and he has a long road ahead of him. God will give him the strength to get through it. Please know that I will be praying for Bob right along with my dad, who is having a partial hip replacement today! I know God will take good care of them both!!!

Hugs,
Linda

That's heart wrenching. I hope his family is doing ok. That's an awful lot to happen at once.

They were going to try to wake him up today, but his vitals wouldn't stableize, so they didn't. I don't know any other new news. I think about him all day long. Just sick about it.

What seems scary is that if someone has visited him and something was said within earshot- who can say if a person in a coma hears something said in the room? If he heard she passed away, he might not have the will to wake up. I really really hope this is not the case. The fight to get better is half our recovery when we fall ill.
