Eucerin

Post by Dissie » Thu Feb 28, 2013 11:21 pm

As if I needed this. I think my skin is addicted to Eucerin in the tub form, not the lotion. Or maybe I just have extremely dry skin from the climate change, the gas heat or whatever else it could be. The stuff in the tub is like crisco in consistency. I bought some with my skin problems lately as a DR referred it to me. I have tried using regular lotion since then, and my skin feels just as dry like 10 minutes later, like I didn't use lotion. I only feel relief when I use Eucerin in a tub. I have the lotion and it isn't the same. GEEZE, just what I needed! This stuff is expensive! OH well, atleast my skin feels so much better. But all day I tried like 3 different lotions and it ain't cutting it. I use oil of olay moisturizing ribbons in the shower. I also use oil of shower lotion , you put it on and rinse off. Supposed to lock in the moisture. Nothing seems to work.

I just put on Eucerin in the tub on, and my skin is happy. No more itching or leathery feeling. Honestly, I have a small tupperware container at work that contains this stuff for reapplication at work. It's becoming annoying.

Also wanted to add ,I drink plenty of water. I probably drink like 1/2 gallon a day at work and I drink it at home too. I thought of that already. Hydration can't be the problem.

:D I used Gold Bond extra strength lotion. My skin doesn't get dry or itchy that often but when it does the Gold Bond seems to work.
I have never tried Eucerin but it has lots of good reviews. It looks like it would be great on sore tired feet. I will look for it next time :D

Heat and air conditioning really dry out the air. Have you tried using shea butter? My skin is so dry in the winter that I can't keep up with it. I feel like a dog with fleas.

I use this too, only the Wal-Mart brand. Its a few bucks cheaper. I use the medicated kind. It works pretty well for me. I like Corn Huskers lotion too. Lots of people talk about Shea butter and how great it is. But... I have used Shea butter of every brand, I think. It seems greasy and slick to me. It smells good though.

If you use a deodorant soap in the shower/bath, they can be very drying to the skin. I try to use a very mild soap in the winter months and that has help tons with over all dry skin.
