I Can't Figure Out Windows 7, Therefore...

Post by Deely » Fri Oct 28, 2011 4:17 pm

...I hate my computer and I avoid it. That's why I haven't been around much. I dislike all the bells and whistles. I have to download things that should just be there, like editing photos. I can't even figure out how to minimize a page and open another.
All I use my computer for is this site, doing research, e-mail, paying bills and keeping up with insurance and prescriptions. That's it!
My wish, if someone would grant me one, would be to have someone remove all the "extras" and just help me live a less stressful and uncluttered life. sigh :(
Sorry, I forgot to say thanks again for listening...And if any one knows how to open another window, please, please let me know.

I've watched those Dissie. I feel really stupid and I hate that! Why can't I just hit minimize, make it go to the bottom of the window and open something else?

You should be able to do that. It goes on the task bar, if you hover your mouse over the task bar you will see what windows are open.

There are ways to change all that. I got rid of all that stuff. Mine is basically very minimalized and simple. My desktop has 10 icons and nothing on the start menu other than 4 basics. It is a bit much to explain all the changes on here. Maybe a pc guru to help, but yes. All that stuff can be changed.

I understand what you're saying Dissie, but my whole screen goes blank when I do that. There is nothing there but the task bar. I have nowhere else to go, but back to where I was.

I'm going to have to start trying to find that guru, Kc. This really sucks! ;)

Deely, you might consider trading it in for a Mac. They are so user friendly!! I hate PC's, and will never own anything by a Mac!!

I am actually happy that I have an older computer. I still have Windows XP, and I do NOT want to "upgrade"! I've seen so many people having problems with Vista and 7, it simply isn't funny.

Vista is the new ME...nothing but problems.

Windows 7, however, now that I'm used to it, I love. Can't tell you how much I hated it at first, but through trial and error I can now make it sing at dance at my every whim.
