My Dog Has Redesigned His Toys...

Post by Deely » Mon Feb 06, 2012 5:45 pm

...to suit him. These are toys that have been around for about 6 months, He could have demolished them at any time if he wanted to, but instead he's redesigned them.

Image

The first one was an octopus with a stuffed head. He removed the head and made it into a pull ring with legs. The next is a tennis ball that he made a handle on, so he can toss it in the air. Lastly, he's pulled out and elongated hedgehog's nose so he can grab it. It's the only toy he's left a squeaker in, and actually runs around squeaking it.

I absolutely love pet stories... Please share yours. :)

LOL Deely! I went through the same thing with my dog years ago when she was playful. She hated those squeaky thingys in the toys and would tear them apart to get them. I used to sew some of the toys back together and make a whole new animal like the new improved raccoonopus lol

Maggie, my cat, is 4 yrs old and as of last year I had stopped shopping at pet stores for toys and oddball things. No more play mice, squeeky balls, feathers and stuffed fish. I even bought her a very expensive beautiful plush bed. Why would she want that when she has an old cardboard box to lay in? Her toys of choice are now colorful thick shoestrings. The only other things that gets her all excited are writing pens and chapstick.

   OMG catz...I used to sew the toys back together too! They didn't last long. It seemed like a good idea at the time though. :?
You'd think we'd realize that they like the boxes over what's in them.

This is funny! My bichon has had a squirrel (we have to call it a gopher because he goes gaa gaa at the word squirrel) that my husband has had to give surgery to over and over again for years. It is so ratty and disgusting but he loves it. Every night after supper he "takes it for a walk" up and down the deck for about 10 minutes. He also has to sleep with it!

Aww, Now that's precious Donna. Sam is a part Fiest (squirrel dog)! We open the door and say SQUIRREL and he's off.

the cutest thing our oldest boy does is every single morning, he goes potty, then comes in and runs to his toybox (5 am) and brings his biggest coosch to his momma in bed.....

and

drops it on her head! :D he's so thoughtful!

What is it about 5 am??? Sam goes out to potty, BeeGee comes in to eat and CiCi goes out to stay for the morning. Are you up for the day after the kids wake you up? We are...they pretty much rule our lives. I wouldn't change it for the world! We love them to death.

My 17 year old cat wakes me up every morning at 4:30 to get him something to eat. He bugs me to death until I get up. Once I am awake, there is no going back to sleep. I had to change his diet 6 months ago because of health issues, now he is feisty as a kitten and wants his food now....get up NOW mom! Bless his little furry heart!
