Everlasting Witch Brooms

Post by Sue » Thu Oct 26, 2023 1:54 pm

Shadows posting a severed finger hot dog idea reminded me of this pic I had seen recently.
Not food, but I do love these besoms made for Samhain made with everlastings. I'd love them done with sweet annie, broom corn and sage plus something like sinuata statice, star flowers, gomphrenas and lavender.
I imagine back in the day many brooms has flowers and herbs tied in, to discourage bugs on the wood floors. But today they appeal to the emotional senses.
The one on the right has some evergreen/cedar. I bet they'd be great dressed up for Christmas/Yule.

How I wish I had seen this before the heavy snow fall! I do have dried babies breath and have evergreen/cedar in both the front and back yard. See a few everlasting witches brooms happening at my house. Thank you Sue, love that you shared!
