HARD "BAKED" EGGS

Post by lovinretirement » Tue Sep 06, 2016 4:46 pm

Has anyone tried the oven method for making hard "boiled" eggs yet? You're supposed to put each egg in a muffin tin, bake in a 350°F oven for 30 minutes, then plunge into ice water for 10 minutes. Do you have to poke a hole in the egg shell to allow steam to escape so they don't explode? I'm afraid to try it.

I have done mine in the oven and on the grill for forever. Never the muffin tin. No, I do not poke mine; I just turn them often; I do mine right on the great; they come out fine. But, mine only take about 15 minutes.
