Why

Post by Shadows1 » Wed Jan 27, 2016 12:33 pm

I am wondering why the majority of these boards are so dead. Is no one home ?

I meant the whole site not just chat! I only see 3 or 4 folks posting.

It's like that on all the recipe site forums I don't think a lot of people are interested in boards anymore, since many people have there own blogs and are on Facebook now. I know a lot of sites have cancelled their forums, I heard it's expensive to keep forums going. There's certain topics I visit everyday here although I may not post everyday, it's the photo forum and what is for dinner or What was on your plate, also the daily quotes :D

Absolute right, I agree Facebook and blogs take activity away from forums now, I wonder if this site will be closing it's forum like all the others did :? hope not! They sure get a lot of new daily recipes here though :D

Since this is a recipe site I come for the recipes I do visit the photos forum although I don't always post, this is a great food site I enjoy visiting here often but not for the forums although I have posted a few times.

All forums are dead and done, many have closed. Facebook, Twitter, and many more are the new forums now. If they decide to close here I don't blame them at all.

One note ... I agree with everyones comments. Second, I do FB as well; and, Pinterest has taken a lot ... however not for blogs; but, many gravitate to that. Personally, I don't like it much.

No, for the blogs; I agree, many don't participate anymore.

Shadows, one thing I did with the what for dinner ... it is a running thread. Meaning every day I start something new. With it being new each day; it shows up on the new posts on the bottom of the home page. I think lots of people check that; but, not the ongoing threads - which you need to actually go to. I admit too ... I look at the currents posts; reply, check a few things, then done.

I think it is just an overall change. Maybe 2-3 forums is plenty; and keep those going. Not sure and NOT my call. I know many sites ... yes, no longer do forums. It just may be a change to come. I hate to see it go.

FB OK, Twitter, I just don't get the attraction. It is a total annoyance, JMO. But, I know many who live by it. SAD actually.

Well I don't find it dead at all. The forum with all the food games are really busy, I see people posting every for quotes and What's On Your Plate, I think this site has lots of activity going on
