I am sure Gerry that you are keeping busy as usual! I think both of us do this! :-)

Gads...I shoveled snow yesterday for 3 hours and did not finish the driveway. It is a long one with a big open area at the house. So will finish that up today.

This quote I find amusing! LOL

Finished the shoveling yesterday. The temp was above zero and the snow was so much heavier but as usual...got 'er done! Today hauling in wood.

Been Clicking.

Still tired but feeling better today which is a good thing as have to water garage plants, it will also be good for momma and baby to have extra play time, hopefully baby becomes comfortable to be cuddled so am able to introduce them to the household.

While warmer still feels like minus 26 and it's almost noon. So happy you got that outside work under control, at least until the next snow fall. Snow and cold is not my fav, yesterday after three tries had to get help to unlock the garage door along with yet another snow clearing.

Clicks are in. Have to love Daily Double Day.

Finally think I am back on track, that was one long bout of whatever today sees me up and running. Going to put the Christmas wreath on the front door today and do a little baking for a starter.

Not surprised the quote made you chuckle Patti, seeing it me me think of you shoveling your way through no matter what! We have warmed to feels like minus ten hopefully no storms for the next while.

We went from melting yesterday afternoon to feels like minus 31, good thing today had been set aside for holiday baking time which will add warmth to the kitchen.

Yesterday's absolute must the Cherry Cheese Cakes saw one of my well wrapped pans fall slipping to the side, told myself getting upset was not the answer. Thought to an awesome catered due that served a similar recipe in dessert dishes, while time consuming thankfully I had a can of cherry pie filler on hand, found box of tin foil cup cake liners which made for 14 mini cheesecake servings and three larger footed glass dessert dishes perfect for times there are just two or three. Yes deconstructed cheese cake dessert! Now back to the kitchen.

Yesterdays baking efforts saw another cheesecake made so all good there, as well several of the favourites. As the baking hours ended up into the evening I decided other than to crush the cookies to do the rest this morning. Joining Cathy for a quick trip to the city this aft. Cold morning which has me hope for the warming I heard they were predicting.

Put on my first carols yesterday afternoon to start the season. This morning it seemed I needed a Mark Twain quote, this one goes way back for me and it is something I have been doing for years. Amazingly as you likely already know it works!

“Do something every day that you don’t want to do. This is the golden rule for acquiring the habit of doing your duty without pain.” – Mark Twain

Yesterday just managed to do the last of the baking and dishes then an unexpected quick trip to the city for a clinic visit late aft for Cathy's lab who came home with antibiotics and a cone. She was such a good girl. This morning hours of doing ten extra things (has me about a week ahead)along with a number of Mark Twain's “Do something every day that you don’t want to do"

So happy the Dad's Cookies were crushed when it got to baking the recipe from my aunt's collection. So good I really must post that one. Making this a 'Happy Memories' Christmas along with setting the table with as always special gifts from those no longer with us from the dinner set from dh to special serving dishes and holiday favorites.

Now coffee, then back to the kitchen to slice and get all the squares packed and to the freezer. Have to love freezer friendly recipes! Four hours in basically half a days work done and it's only ten o'clock! Reminding myself that the plane lands on the 19th is a great motivator!

Might be knowing there is another winter storm on the way or a busy week catching up on me but Shadow's early wake up call had me wanting to linger under the covers. Once again knowing that plane is landing on the 19th remains a great motivator so it's been an up and at em morning.

Checking out quotes this morning this found this perfect to start the day ...
