Temps still soaring here. Yesterday...38C and it was raining (albeit for only a few minutes). The humidity in the air was soooo heavy I had to tell DH to stay inside until it past.
Nyah still is fussy eating. But she is acting normal in every other way. She does this behaviour every now and then.

Your temps are of the stay inside kind, have to hope you are managing to keep one room relatively cool. Thankfully yesterday temps here were better than they have been, it was hot but surrounded by evergreens and a bit of a breeze made it far easier for those attending.
As of yesterday I am now in the group that will never trust GPS again - ever! Knowing I needed to be there at two we left early, went with GPS - then add in when almost there needed to wait for a train. Looked at the clock as we pulled in - had one minute to spare! By this time the stress level left me about as cool as a cucumber as the old saying goes. So yes made it through, this morning looking at the lovely thank you card.

Yesterday was a day of essentials only an absolute slow down, have added extra anti inflammatories hoping for a better day. I see by noon we are to expect a feels like 35 day so must be far more cautious than I have been in that respect as well.
Thinking of you and hoping all is well at your house. I was over at Amazon checking out Roy T Bennett, found the intro was perfect for today ...

Hit 39C yesterday...and it rained a wee bit overnight. Keeping somewhat cool. I put the AC on for about an hour at a time...longer if I need to.

The indoor essentials are done, about to head outdoors. I was out far too long yesterday afternoon, while not as hot as your temps Pattie it was a feels like 36 C day. I hand watered all the plantings and pots as feel sprinklers in this heat would not be a good thing so did it in the evening. No water on the plants themselves just well watered soil.
Weather network warns "Some areas will crack the 40-degree mark over the next couple of days" It's already 21 and only 7:30, am guessing going to get up there today.

Hope you take really good care in this heat Gerry! Just remember...your garden will always be there.
It was 39C here and no breeze or respite from it. Even with the AC going intermittently...our home was still very warm. The Chi's love this heat...I wish I did. lol
Gotta love John Lennon! From a 5 year old...priceless and so very funny!!
“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.” John Lennon

Guessing I should have been out watering instead of the indoor chores this morning as see it's already 24 feels like 30 and its only 9:30 and see we also have a smoke alert. "Wildfire smoke is causing very poor air quality and reduced visibility" Could make the planned barbecue down the way more of an indoor day.

Please be careful about breathing in the smoke! I stay indoors and only go out if I have to...like watering the pooches.
Love your quote Gerry...made me giggle!
We hit an all time high here yesterday...41C!! It was not a fun evening! Today the temp is supposed to be a wee bit cooler with thunderstorms this afternoon. Frightening as we are already in a drought!
“I am not sure exactly what heaven will be like, but I know that when we die and it comes time for God to judge us, He will not ask, 'How many good things have you done in your life?' rather He will ask, 'How much love did you put into what you did?” Mother Teresa

Off to town today to pick up meds for one of my dogs.
