Had major wind and heavy downpour at five this morning, pity I was out til late last night hand watering the tomatoes, veggies and flowers but they were so dry. Once again thankfully missed the damaging hail, we remain on Severe Thunderstorm warning. Hoping this weather settles down.

Love Roy Bennett quotes Patti, find them so uplifting.

A cooler morning remains we still have heat and tornado warnings across Saskatchewan. Been getting up super early to get as much done before the high temps cut in and again when it cools somewhat leave some chores for the evenings. With the unexpected rain pour downs happy son cleaned my eve troughs! Always good to have pluses in our day! Still hoping for that yard clean crew to be available - hopefully soon!

So looking for that catch up and get back to the fun part of gardening and a tidy house! The lovely stand of dill has me wanting to make a pot of Borscht this weekend.

We may or may not have a cooler day as showers are predicted for this morning. Seems our summer has become very unpredictable. Been up since the crack of dawn which sees the essentials done - will see how the day unfolds.

I sent you a zmail Gerry...to let you now what has happened here the last couple of days.

Still in the 30C's here and no relief in sight. Thank goodness for the portable air conditioner we bought recently. Don't use it all the time...mostly at dinner time (our hottest part of the day here) .

Off to town again this morning. Temps still staying in the mid 30C's. But it has been cooling off nicely in the evenings.

The weather never ceases to amaze me this year, down to 10 C this morning but headed to a warm day. Had an outdoor day yesterday, at days end came in damp but happy, just enough came down from above making it more like a warm mist. Now have to hope it cools enough this week for the young teenager to come and get the weeds to the bins. Once again it was "what were you thinking"

Hope your trip to town goes well Patti. Always look forward to your daily quote, as you know I enjoy Roy T. Bennett's.

Off to the city with daughter for the afternoon, hope we can manage a stop at that awesome nursery to check out the July sale as well as a nice mom and daughter lunch.

Your quote made me giggle this morning Gerry!

Hope you had an awesome day with your daughter yesterday Gerry! And were able to get to the nursery! -:)

It was a very long day yesterday...but as usual...I got 'er done! Nyah, my Chi that has a heart murmur, had been off her food for a couple of days, is back eating as of yesterday. Hopefully she will be the same today!

Clicks were in at the crack of dawn.

Yesterday a very tiring day but we took time to stop at our favorite restaurant for that awesome Butter Chicken and Jerra Rice and for the best naan ever! Today will be a very busy day in my back yard garden.

I hope Nyah is feeling much better, I think the intense temperatures we have been experiencing is really hard on our older loves. Amazed Zoey is still in bed this morning, I am so thankful she has had a groom which keeps her cooler. Both have not been all that active the past few days.

So a reminder ...

Really cooled overnight, a sunny morning but at six o'clock only 10 degrees out there but see we are heading to feels like thirty today. Meanwhile have all the tidying done, surprisingly all the babies are sleeping, one of the boys was up early and found a roll of paper towels. That had me needing to do the tidy before coffee!

Another long day yesterday, thankfully got all the watering done last night, admittedly the garden boxes allow hand watering to not shock the plants after an intensely hot day. Took one lot of sunscreen to get through the day.

Hopefully all good news at your house Patti!

Oh Gerry...gotta love the fur babies for adding to the morning routine before coffee! LOL Fun times in the 'hood eh what?! :-)

Yesterdays high temp here stayed all day and well into the evening. So not much reprieve from the heat.
