We seem to get thunder/lightning every day or two...sometimes far off and sometimes directly over head. Most times thank goodness it come with some rain!
I made a garlic scape whipping cream pasta sauce with shrimp for dinner on Friday...OMW it was soooo gooda! And with the rest of the scapes, like you making pesto. YUMMY!
I am in awe of your tenacity Gerry in your work ethic!

And know that you will not be doing anything to exacerbate what is going on in your body! But the Mom in me has me saying once again...please take care!

Another cool morning like 42F, sun out so should warm.
Didn't get to the garlic scapes, that cream sauce sounds awesome, found a couple recipes but would like to go with one I know will be super good, could you send a link? Having company for lunch tomorrow that would make a lovely mid day meal! I did find a garlic fridge pickle using cider vinegar I am going to try as well. Yes have a bumper crop of garlic!

Oh Gerry...there is no recipe for my cream sauce. I saute up onions, garlic scapes and garlic and add a wee bit of flour, stir and add the whipping cream, herbs and any leftover veggies and season to taste. And I use fusilli or any other small pasta and precook it and rinse it. Then add pasta to the sauce and heat through. Voila...dinners ready. Easy Peasy! This is my basic recipe I use and sometimes I curry it. I play around with flavours so that it does not get boring...lol And I use any protein I want in it...like leftover chicken or shrimp (prawns) etc.
Will call you tomorrow if that works for you!

Hello ladies! I have missed you; sorry for the break. Hubby took the past week off, which he desperately needed. And I'm starting to mourn the ending of summer, as I'll be back at work towards the end of next week. This summer flew by.

Your quote is the reminder I needed this morning Patti! Thank you for the basic Patti Cream Sauce, there's no doubt I will be playing with that one!
Rain saw gran cancelling garden time til later, just enough rain to see me catch up on watering. But lunch is on as it's also getting a needed hair trim and a Zoey day, which makes the garden day cancel work for later. Last night made up egg salad so looking forward to a sandwich and a mini Charcuterie board minus the meat to make it vegetarian. You know cheese, pickles, veggies and such. We both need some us time!
Good to see you Misa, schools here have holidays going to the end of August which sees your 'summer holiday' time an early start to the new school year. Be sure to make the remaining days your time with your family!
I suspect this weekend will see to required slow down on my activities I was planning on, will look to it as some extra read time. Works for me!

Trying to get a few extras done today, all the while reminding myself do the essentials and have everything in place for the fur babies, the rest will fall into place. Another light rain takes care of the outdoor garden and pots, and again a chilly so not a warm July day so no garden time today.
Your quote another reminder that within us the courage and strength that nothing indeed is impossible to get by.

Another July morning only 9 Celsius/48 F but sun is shining, thunderstorms may happen this afternoon and evening then looks like we are back to a week of warm and sunny.

Enjoyed the humour of the Dalai Lama!

And don't we know all about Dickens' sun! Yesterday we hit 35C (95F). UGH! These temps sure zap the body of energy. I did not do too much physical work yesterday...just sat at my wheel and spun for awhile and made a cool dinner.
Hope they are correct and your temps rise soon Gerry!

Hope you are doing well Gerry!
As we have been having extreme heat for the past few days...now it is going to change to cooler weather and rain. YIPPEEEE! So we will see if that accurate. And so far no mention of thunder/lightning storms! Whew! Again...remains to be seen. lol
