White Bean Turkey Chili with Cinnamon, Allspice, Nutmeg, all the favorite, chili powder, cumin, hot sauce, peppers, onions, celery, broth, 1 can tomatoes, but also cider vinegar. Yes, it has a sweet flavor, but HOT. Even my picky neighbor loved it last night. Very unique, I just posted it. It adds a warming flavor, but not SWEET. I was very surprised the first time I made this. It isn't as firery hot, but still spicy.

I am going to make this one for sure! I saved the recipe and will work it in one of my menus soon. I have been looking for a great white chili for a while - this might hit the spot!Kchurchill5 wrote:My neighbor swore he wouldn't like it. Said NO WAY, chili is beef and beans, etc. Didn't want to try it. Five bites ... and wow, he was hooked. He loved it. the first time I was so skeptical. Then I tasted it. That was about 10 years ago. I had added chocolate before and a little cinnamon, but this was the first dish that had quite a bit. I'm not hooked at the sweet/savory blend.
Re: My Goodness, I love chili!!!!
Years ago, a neighbor of mine invited everyone in our building to have some of his homemade chili (at my house, BTW--somehow I always ended up washing dishes in those days). Well, the dish he brought over was a very nice stew of eggplants, tomatoes, corn, and garbanzo beans, but there was not a chili to be seen--it didn't even have bell peppers. Another friend of ours, who'd lived in California, was absolutely furious that he called it chili. I admit it was a nice dish, but I wouldn't have called it chili either.
