I remember in grade school and into high school the cafeteria had squares of ice cream like these packaged in little pieces of cardboard. I haven't seen ice cream packaged like that in years, but I don't go to school with the kiddos either. LOL

I've seen them but don't have one. I have a hard enough time getting a scoop into the ice cream much less tunneling to China with that thing. LOL
I have some conical ones. One of them was for an ice cream shop as =the handle is really long and would go to the bottom of a 2.5-3 gallon bucket.

I bought a pan this year that bakes up ice cream sandwich cookies in the perfect shape with no slicing.
Still haven't used it yet. It's in a box next to the cake pop maker I bought, gathering dust. Seemed like good ideas at the time. LOL
We don't eat all that many desserts around here.

I'm not a dessert maker either, Sue. A bowl of fruit suffices most times I need an extra dish. And I have those "seemed like a good idea at the time" items too, as we probably all do. This morning, I read your post and wondered whether those gadgets could be re-purposed in some way. Perhaps cornbread squares or biscuit mix squares in the pan for ice cream sandwich cookies? Could the pop maker turn out mini crab cakes? I don't have time to research it, but I'm sure someone has made something besides cakes. My own unused pan is for muffin tops (when we hardly ever eat muffins. Go figure.). Maybe I'll find out a way to use it now.

Looks useful if those bottom edges are sharp enough to cut things. If so, I think its a food chopper. If not too sharp, maybe it would be used to blend flour and fat for a pastry? Whatever it is, I'd like to play with it. :D
