Especially these celebrities -- just looked at all we learned about the so called "doctors" that were caring for Michael Jackson!!!!!!Chocolatl wrote:I don't condemn anyone who is addicted to prescription drugs. I condemn the "doctors" who prescribe them. They are the true culprits.

Re: Whitney Houston has died!

Nobody knows if prescription abuse was the cause of her death or not. Speculating on what actually did her in is pointless until the toxicology reports come in in a couple of weeks.

Denise, Was Bobbi supposed to have been in the tub with her mother (or a different tub?) I heard the same two stories about the drugs -- a lot of drugs and then it was reported that there were no more drugs found than would be found in the average home. I think right now there is just a lot of speculation going on.Denise wrote:I'm curious about both the daughter and Whitney being found passed out in the bath tub - what sort of high were they on/looking for? Is this a popular way to do drugs? I know nothing about it and I'm just wondering maybe there is some "Oh, this is the best way to relax, pop a Zanax and have a cocktail in the tub" sort of thing. You know? I have read that there were "tons" of prescriptions and then one "official" said there were no more than you would have at your own home. Time will tell.
I just saw where the public funeral is likely to be on Friday in New Jersey.

Apparently Bobbi had fallen asleep in HER tub in her room the night before and couldn't be roused. WTH are these women doing?Bobbie wrote:Denise, Was Bobbi supposed to have been in the tub with her mother (or a different tub?) I just want to point out that there is no evidence that Houston was using cocaine, heroin or marijuana at the time of her death. She DID have prescriptions for Xanax, Lorazepam, ibuprofen, Midol, Amoxicillin, and Valium in the hotel room.AnnPueblo wrote:I just want to point out that you don't get cocaine (crack or any other variety), heroin or marijuana from medical doctors.

Re: Whitney Houston has died!
It's much nicer to think that this innocent, golden-throated angel is the victim of medical malpractice by incompetent/greedy/unscrupulous scrip doctors than that she had a many-MILLION-dollar, twenty-year-plus history of truly serious and well-documented drug abuse.Chocolatl wrote:And no reason to condemn her for killing herself with illegal drugs when no trace of them has been found. There is evidence pointing to the prescription drugs.
You could be wrong. Maybe I am. Time will ultimately tell.
