Trouble posting photo to my new recipe

Kitten, I have had both those problems - the not seeing a thread has happened many times (for example in active topics even though something was posted, but another time I might see it), as well as the not getting notifications for topics I have posted in, at first I would get them about 20 percent of the time, I now don't get them at all. It makes it difficult if you combine those 2 together - you don't know that someone has posted.
