I am such a hypocrite - I hate the idea of hunting a deer but give me a haunch of venison and I would be in 7th heaven

Thanks for all the comments!

Bergy, lots of people feel that way. I love to watch them, not shoot them. I will let the men in my family do that, I will gladly eat it though! :D

Elsie, it is quite funny how people get so excited during hunting season!

Love the pics Bea! Bush or City deer....love it!

Anyone else have pics they want to share with us? I would love to see them!

Only got a gratis this year. We haven't seen any deer at all. Bad past winters and problems with the over population of coyotes. Not many tags were given out in our area this fall. Oh well....maybe next year! :D
So happy for those who got theirs!!! Congrats!!!

I am suffering with CIDP ( similar to MS ), it makes walking and holding a gun steady almost impossible. I have deer that frequent the fields around my house but I can't shoot them, my wife would have my head mounted on the wall, for real!

That's too bad shadow, sucks that you can't go anymore, if you lived nearby I would send some your way.
Funny about your wife   But there are a lot of people who would do the same as her. As I was saying in my earlier posts, some of the locals feed them daily and treat them as pets, they even name them and worry about them wandering in the bush and getting shot during hunting season.

My stepmother is of a similar frame of mind regarding my dad's Parkinson's, even though he specifically bought land and built a house on it far enough north with enough property he can legally hunt on it.

Thanks Queenbee!!! He is out again this morning. If he doesn't get one that's okay by me. We'll have lots to eat anyway! My freezers are full! ;)
I am so sorry Shadows. They are beatiful to watch though! :)
