I'm a traditionalist when it comes to pizza, pepperoni, black olives, and sometimes sausage if it's GOOD Italian sausage and not nasty cheap stuff.
But my wife has been making a simple pizza (she buys the crusts) by just laying on sliced plum tomatoes, fresh baby spinach leaves, black pepper (freshly-milled),mushrooms drenched in olive oil and Italian seasoning, and mozzarella and fresh parmesan cheeses that I really like (there might be one more ingredient.)
Anyway I told my meat-and-potatoes brother about it and he said he didn't want any. So, naturally I gave him a piece the next time he came over when my Linda made it and he hogged it down and ate about the whole pizza in the end.

ANCHOVIES! But, they never put on enough. I keep a can on the shelf to add to pizza! I told my husband that one of the reasons I married him is that he likes anchovies. At an Italian restaurant, I ALWAYS ask for a dozen anchovies on the side so I can chop them up and add them to Caesar salad or whatever I am eating.

BigD I need to try anchovies. I have never even had the nerve to do it! I hear they are great and taste salty and nutty and I love those tastes. I just need to make up my mind and try it! Maybe I should try it at home, that way I can do one small section to see if I like it first! (Honestly I would have to sneak it the rest of the family!)

I first tried them in ceasar salad, I love them! Not the whole ones though, I pick those out of my salad and give them to DH, lmao. I love the paste, I have a tube in the pantry I need to use. Dave does like them in his salad, but haven't really thought about it since all the kiddies moved out. I'll have to try it. I don't know if I can suck down that fish though, I just like fish essence.
