I just saw that too. WOW, she had a lot of problems, but geeze. She was just in rehab in the spring, but gosh. She had an amazing voice. It is a true loss.

So sad, Merlot. She got me through a major transition in the early 90's with "I Will Always Love You".
In my opinion, she had the most beautiful and controlled voice I have ever heard.
I'm listening to the Bodyguard now. What a loss.

Her voice was absolutely out of this world, and she was also stunning. It is a shame all the struggles she went through.

I just saw that too! Whoa! I look at her and Demi and I think those guys have it all but apparently it's not all good.

They do have it all ... but sometimes it can be very lonely. Sometimes all the pressure and fame is too much. They never can live a normal life. That has to be hard. All the money and fame, can buy lots of trouble too.

Merlot -- we just saw that as well. What a waste of talent -- but to be honest this woman has wasted her talent for several yeas. We went to see her a few years ago when she was "in concert" here. She was almost an hour late in arriving --and when she finally did show up, it was her EXTREMELY poor excuse of a husband, Bobby Brown who did the introductions -- screaming as loud as he coud . . . "are you ready for Whitney"?? === he did this for several minutes. Yes, the crowd got into it -- me,I wanted to tell him that I was ready an hour ago when my ticket said she'd perform. That whole THING has left a sour note in my mouth when it comes to Whitney.

But I have to say I'm very sorry that SUCH AN AMAZING TALENT is no longer with us. Her voice, her songs, and even her acting (The Bodyguard) is still one of my top 10 -- the music is awesome.

She obviously had demons she could not overcome. I loved her -- but on the otherhand I had no respect for her. None the less, I hope Whitney is able to rest in peace. Her music will live on and on. She was such a talent. One of a kind.

Wow, so sad that such talent is gone..... Too much of the "Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll" routine.
