best sources to buy window curtains

Post by foxysnana » Tue Feb 07, 2012 6:39 pm

I recently moved into a new apartment, 3 of my windows (5 total in the apartment) get a lot of afternoon sun (in Phoenix that means HEAT & LOTS OF IT). I need to buy window treatments to put up to block some of the heat. Any good sources online to buy drapes/window treatments? There are standard mini-blinds already on the windows, so I just have to put them up over the blinds. TIA

This is one of my favorite stores. Too bad MO doesn't have one.

I would try overstock.com or Bed, Bath and Beyond. I've had good luck with both of those.

JCP still has a huge selection of window treatments. I needed room darkening for the bedroom and that was where I found them. Not outrageously priced either.

If you are renting the apartment and might move after a few years, then I would definitely stick with places like Target, Bed Bath & Beyond etc. They have attractive curtains at reasonable prices. I have always rented and all of my curtains have had to move to new locations many times. They don't always look right in the next place, but at least I didn't pay a fortune for permanent ones.
