Got to the Shoe Repair appt on time....and she was not there! So wrote a note saying I would stop in on my way home...which I did. She was there, seems she had a medical issue and had to leave. Long story short, I stopped back in on my way home and had a wonderful visit with the most quirky lady I have met in a long time. It was awesome!!

It was a very long day for me...14 hours! I was up at 5:30am and got sat down to rest (no dinner) at 7:25pm. I am pooped today. Just making a pot of soup, tending to the pooches, husband and me.

Wishing you a restful day too Gerry! :-)

Been a week here as well!

Love that quote Patti, one I have often added to graduation cards. Speaking of graduation cards have two grads and a nursing convocation, one this past weekend and two late this month.

While up well before five am still working on the ten indoor extras this morning, may not happen this morning with the spring we have had. This past week strong winds and smoke added has to be an outdoor day - no matter what! Ran out of that awesome chicken soup of yours so last night forced myself to make a late 'real' meal' a small bunless burger with plenty of onions and tomato slices, baked potato topped with chives. Been awhile! Then fell into bed shortly after.

Have a great day here hoping the wind doesn't bring heavy smoke.

Gads Gerry...we sound the same!! LOL!! Getting older is not for the faint of heart eh what?

One thing I did not mention on my town day...it rained overnight and all the next day while I was in town. Not pleasant...but sure loving the soaking rain. No fires in our area yet, and no smoke either!

Hoping to get out get the front 40 mowed today. I am tired of looking the dandelion stems reaching for the sky! The grass really does not need mowing but...

I hope you do have an indoor day!! Your fur babies will love that! lol

Remember...be true to YOU!

I was more than pleased to find that all my pots and pots of perennials I had tucked into my vegetable boxes survived the winter, now all nicely in a holding area until all the beds are prepped. My back suggests it will likely be an all summer project! Today sees the last of the planting. As for tomatoes and peppers I feel temps need to be at least 10 Celsius to fare well here on the prairies, so this coming week tomatoes peppers and annuals I started earlier on.

Not only a double day when clicking today but 'adopt a kitten month' which had me look around making for the chuckle of the day as I have to say I think I have done my fair share. Yes to full house!

This quote often comes to mind when making a quick stop which usually sees to adding a new bag to my ever growing collection ...

Happy to read that all is going well for you Gerry! :-)

My potato plants have broken ground! And did not get out to mow yesterday...as I was heading out...a big black cloud overhead opened up!! So I am heading out now to mow...we have a good breeze that will keep the mozzies away!

Whatever happens in my life...God is with me!

Going out again to finish up the front mowing. It got too hot for me to finish after 2 hours. I love mowing! Saying that...when I need to mow the back 40...I wish I had a riding mower as it is on a hill. But I still manage to get 'er done! :-)

It is sunny and very warm here. Happy the mowing is done for a few days!

The sun rises, the dog barks. Both are nature's way of saying it's time to embrace the new day's adventures!

A wonderful windless day yesterday made for one long day in the garden, sunny this morning should see to a repeat. Hearing the fires have escalated, amazed to read our smoke has reached Europe as well as into the south know if it's windy it often sees to an indoor day. It seems clear these past few days but some must still be in the air as I am sure the neighbors can hear me sneezing and coughing!

Love your quote Patti, this week have been baby sitting son's Border Colli who is such a joy as well as an early riser along with my two a great start to the morning!

Had an awesome day at the spinner's roundup luncheon!!! So good to be around lots of like minded women. We all had a blast...great food, wonderful conversations and had a group photo taken!

Went to visit my friend in assisted living, once in the morning and again before going home. She received bad news when I was there in the morning and went back before going home to see how she was faring.

Was long day for me...up at 5am...on the road at 7am...home at 5pm and finally got sat down at 7:25pm.

It is funny how dogs and cats know the inside of people better than other people do, isn't it!!

Been Clicking.

Loved hearing about your wonderful day Patti. Been a week, cloudy really chilly but didn't freeze as I feared it might last night.

FAITH is the hand we hold in need, HOPE is the promise for strength for the day, comfort for tears, and light for the way

Have a happy Sunday!
