I've been gone for a little over a year now -- I had surgery and some complications afterwards. I check in here now and then but have not posted. Derf's condition brought me forward. She is an inspiration and I am offering as many prayers as I can. I pray that she is comfortable and resting well. Derf, you have been such a true, true friend to so many of us. Please know that you are in our hearts and prayers.

I just hung up the phone talking to Don. Derf is a wee bit stronger but there doesn't appear to be any hope. Derf & Don Don't deserve this after all they have been through. She did tell Don that she misses everyone her and thanks for all your thoughts.

Bergy, I am deeply saddened and stronger in my prayers. This is not good news, and I'll be even stronger in prayer and thought....bummer!

I'm so sorry to hear this. Is this something she or they knew about; or, unexpected?

Prayers are being said for Derf and her DH. I"m sure you're hurting for them both as well Bergy.
