Oh yes, I can concur. Have 3 bags of them in the freezer, and used 2 already.

As Dis mentioned, NO salads, or fresh salsas ... but soups and sauces, absolutely; and they are great. I used them in stews as well.

Perfect, easy, and no work as she said. I never though of it, and ever since, she mentioned it ... been doing it.

Great Tip!

Sometimes, veggies in my door, will do that, but not the main freezer part.
Interesting.
I've noticed it on things that don't freeze super hard. The herbs in a bit of oil, chipotles and some fruit purees. I've very careful these days with what goes into a frost free freezer.

I have mentioned this one in other threads before, but here you go anyway:

Peel and cut ripe bananas into big chunks, then flash freeze on a tray or cookie sheet for 30 minutes or so, just to firm them up enough. Then store in a freezer container or baggie. The chunks make excellent doggie ice cream treats (and they are safe for dogs to eat) and are also great to sub for some of the ice cubes in a frozen fruit drink or ice cream shake. Just add a few chunks to the blender like you would ice cubes.

Great ideas. I had no ideas for the dogs. Wonderful!

My Tip of the Day!!

Cheater Homemade Ice Cream.
I have a ice cream maker, but sometimes, when I entertain, I love to serve a "jazzed up" ice cream. But they are expensive, and often not what I want.

Buy a good classic vanilla or chocolate ice cream
Then, let it soften
Add anything you want, and then refreeze.

Almonds, dried fruit, frozen peaches, raspberries, almond liquor
Blueberries and raspberries with cherry kirsch
chocolate chips, mint cookies, pepermint extract, peanuts or nuts
Toasted coconut, macadamia nuts, dried pineapple, dark rum
chocolate with raspberries, chocolate chips, cherry kirsch
chocolate with chocolate syrup, caramel, peanuts, marshmellows, and heath candy bars ...
Rum raisin with caramel
Your own rocky road
Cherries jubilee

Crushed cookies, nuts, fresh, frozen, or dried fruits, coconut, chococlate, even hard candies, etc. Endless possibilities. And, if you don't like alcohol, you can use flavored extracts too. M&M's raisins,

A great way to make a special ice cream for a special occasion or party.
Basically, you can add any of your favorite combinations and make it your own.

And get the kids involved to help. Just buy a quality vanilla or chocolate ice cream and let the fun begin. It's a lot of fun.

If you have a toothache, it is pretty amazing how well a paste of fresh minced garlic mixed with salt works. Dip a cotton ball into the mixture, getting a nice gob of paste on the ball, then stick the cotton ball into your mouth and bite down, pressing it against your teeth. Leave it like that for 5 minutes. Be prepared for lots of drooling.

I didn't think it would work well at all, but was desperate and searched online for home remedies. It worked almost instantly to relieve the pain and worked for days. My breath was horrendous, but wow did that work well.

Thx, not my idea, but I loved it. Great idea for a BBQ. Ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish or pickles, BBQ sauce, onions. All in one. Throw away the cups and 1 rinse.

This feels more like a "sort of" tip, but here goes anyway: If you don't have a cheese grater handy, a veggie peeler will shave off wafer thin shards of cheese. This works especially well for hard cheeses, like Parmesan, where bigger thin flat shavings are often desired.

I discovered this tip by accident tonight while making tacos. I had already packed up my grater, but had left a veggie peeler out. It saved my dinner!
