Experimenting with Bread Machines
I have been experimenting lately with my bread recipes, trying to get some really good recipes for regular kneaded bread converted for bread machine use. I know I can always just knead the dough in the machine, but I honestly prefer to knead by hand if I am going that route. If I am using the machine, I really love to just push the button and let it do the whole process. So I am trying to make up new recipes that can be baked in the machine.
I am also creating brand new recipes with some success.
Have any of you created your own ABM recipes?

Re: Experimenting with Bread Machines
I am trying to perfect a potato garlic bread recipe I came up with. I used my regular potato bread and also my regular ABM potato recipes to get an idea of some proportions, and then have been changing things to make it more what I was looking for.
The taste is right, I am still working on appearance. Last time it came out so nice, but I want more flacks of herbs running through it and a nice golden domed top - my flecks were too few and the top was a little too uneven for me. My daughter actually asked for it again, so I know I am the right track. She is lately in one of those stages where nothing I make suits her (even something she loved previously).

I didn't get a batch made yet - I had a lot of other bread to eat up first, then found myself with an excess of bananas and made banana bread instead.Galley_Wench wrote:Did you get to try another batach . . . did it did work?
Hoping to get more made for this weekend if I can get my ingredients together.
