Quick Breads, Muffins & Biscuits

For the interium please use this thread for Quick Breads, Muffins, Biscuits . . . basically any recipe that uses baking powder/baking soda as the levening. If we have enough interest we'll set up a separate board.

I actually do do more quick breads and muffins than breads that contain yeast. Too intimidating for me.

I made the most amazing biscuits last night from Peter Reinhart's latest book! They look like a puff pastry because of the layers but taste like the best biscuit you'll have. Will post the recipe!

Glad to see you here Gerry. . . I'm sitting here enjoying a Bran Muffin this morning . . . love the recipe because you can mix up a batch and store in the refridge so whenever we're in the mood they're ready to bake. They're called Six Week Bran Muffins, however they've never lasted that long in my house.
