Noted dh came home with a really big bag of bananas, I think he overheard requests for Banana Muffins! Haven't had a muffin for months and months, with the weekend upon us it's a good time to get baking. (You have me almost tasting that Bran muffin, they are another favourite at our house)

What type of pan do you use, regular, jumbo or muffin top? I just love my muffin top pan! Recently bought a baked donut pan (yea I'm a kitchen gadget nut) and it's been fun experimenting. So far the best recipe is the one that came with the pan. I love cinnamon cake donuts but for whatever reason no longer can find at the donut shops around here. Actually, we don't have anymore. . . Krispy Creme closed here in Tucson, so have had to resort to super market bakeries

Muffin top pan - not sure why I don't have one! Think I may need two since I usually make several batches of muffins when baking - a quick taste and straight to the freezer.( Feel way too guilty enjoying them when dh who has to restrict his sugars looks on) He does exceptionally well and that makes for treat days - this week Banana Muffins.

Muffin top muffins sound like a great idea and think I will give baking hamburger buns in them a go as well. I see a stop at the Kitchen Shop next trip in! Bit of a gadget queen myself.~ :D

Wow Derf great photo, I can almost taste it! I need to bake that! Guess I should finish off the 6 Week Bran Muffins stored in the fridge before starting something else.

This long time baker is very impressed! For years my family has been asking for explicit instructions for our family recipes - repeatedly telling me not to assume that everyone knows the basics! Has made for many the story over the years, which while never any disasters there were some really hilarious learning experiences - that has has me noting your excellent instructions. Loved the way you presented steps 6, 7 and 8 - the next best thing to photos or a video! Looking to make this one.
