I haven't been around here much lately, but I when I saw this event it really interested me. Not that I'm a great editor of my pics - mine are usually WYSIWYG - what you see is what you get

About the most that I do with my photos is use iPhoto to crop them and maybe use the Retouch tool in that program to eliminate spots, blemishes, etc.

Here is a pic that I took of a BBQ Chicken Salad - really no recipe because all it consisted of was mixed greens, cooked chicken, black beans, corn, tomatoes, and a quick dressing that I mixed up with half and half BBQ sauce and ranch dressing.

Willow your photos are always so lovely. I like your cropping here too. If I may be so bold there is just one thing that I would do -

I only took out the dark plate pattern line. I didn't change anything else.

One thing I want to emphasize I am learning when I edit any photo - I don't know if what I am doing is right it is just what I feel. So please give feedback like -that really didn't do a thing!, or I like the original better etc etc. That is how I will learn.

Now that you mention it Bergy, that line did look a little odd. I guess I never even thought about removing it because it's part of the plate design. But the white plate does make the photo look better. :)

I didn't notice the black lines until they were gone.

These aren't food pics but I was practicing cloning. See the trash on the grass and the wrinkle in the veil?

Now you don't. :)

racrgal Really well done the veil wrinkle excellent example - If I remember correctly you cloned out a person from one of the wedding photos it was beautifully done - Will you post those two if they aren't too personal - great examples of cloning

Cool racr, honestly it did take me like 7 looks between the two pics before I saw the wrinkle! Trash was easy!

Dissie, that wrinkle jumped right out at me. I have done some dress staging for an award winning wedding photographer and to leave the veil like that was simply careless. Bergy taught me how to fix it with PE 9. :) The mother of the groom has sent me more pics to edit.

This edited photo needs further editing - What I have done so far is resize, crop, remove two spots, brightened it a bit

Lets see what you can do with the original

I just brightened the colors a bit with the saturation feature on the shutterfly program. I'm liking that program so far. :P
