Menu Planning for October 30, 2011~November 6,2011

Post by MaMere » Sat Oct 29, 2011 1:59 pm

Followed last weeks plan pretty much, the meal planning really helps with budget, and using ingredients up that are in home...
Sunday ~ Cheeseburgers on the grill with homemade Fries
Monday ~ Making a Chicken Sour Cream Casserole for FIL, so will make one for us too, will add in some white rice I have in the freezer (from chinese takeout) and fried green beans.
Tuesday ~ Thinking spaghetti, with meatballs. Both the Sauce, and the meatballs are premade, OAMC, so easy dinner
Wednesday ~ Chicken Salad Sammies. If I have time I will make the bread from scratch.
Thursday ~ Brekkie for dinner. Kittens Christmas Pancakes, that are out of this world good, sausages and eggs over easy for hubby.
Friday ~ Pizza, either take out, or homemade
Saturday ~ date night!
Sunday ~ Fire up the Grill!

This weeks treats will be a Gingerbread cake for FIL, along with some Peanut Butter No Bakes and Homemade Applesauce.

Snacks for Hubby and I this week: Making Yogurt today so that, paired with Homemade granola.
Have some gouda in the house, so can snack on that paired with apples too.
They Boys will be getting Homemade Pupcakes, made with shredded carrots!

Do you have the recipe for the carrot pupcakes online? I'd like to make those for my dog.

Here you go Heather

1/2 c. oats (i use quick oats, but either is fine)
1 t baking powder
1 1/2 c whole wheat flour (i use white whole wheat flour, and sift for a finer texture)
1 t cinnamon
1 egg
1/2 c molasses
1 c grated carrot
1 T vegetable oil
1/2 c water

Preheat oven to 350
Combine the first 4 ingredients in a large bowl, set aside.
Combine the Molasses, grated carrot, vegetable oil,egg and water into a small bowl and mix.
Fold the liquid ingredients into the dry, until mixed thouroughly.
Pour cupcake pans and bake for 20-25 minutes (definitely check after 20)

Thank you! Now - these are for puppies right? They sound good enough for people to eat too!

I think she's going to be spinning in circles while they back in delight (she usually does that when she's very excited). Thank you so much! I was struggling to find something I thought would be perfect for her and this sounds like it will be.
