Farm Fresh Eggs
Post
by Kchurchill5 » Mon Jan 21, 2013 12:00 pm
We often forget how good FRESH ingredients really are.
I normally don't have a big breakfast, but it's been a while since I had eggs. I used my homemade bread from the other day - 1 piece; then, my friend who had dinner with me last night brought me 6 farm fresh eggs. There is nothing better. So, 2 fried eggs, toast, and he brought me a jug of fresh mango juice. Also, he brought me fresh butter from the farm as well. Heaven!

Nothing beats fresh eggs! We raised chickens for about 8 years and the best eggs are still warm from under the hen. We free ranged our birds so the yolks were a deep orange/yellow. When used for making bread, the bread looked like it had been buttered already.
Nice picture.

They were just so good. Big, yellow, golden. OMG, that was an egg. Fresh made bread and the butter too. It was just so decadent.
We didn't raise chickens Shadows, but we had a local farm just a mile from our summer home. We always went there for milk, eggs, cheese, etc. Just so good.

Fresh juice from a local farm. IT was really DELISH! My friend who stopped over said, add champagne ... LOL. NO, As is. It was really fresh squeezed and so good. Mango is one of my favorite fruits, so I was really happy. Nothing better in my book.

Yep, so much different than just a fried egg.
