Fig Pizza

Post by Kchurchill5 » Sun Oct 02, 2016 12:25 pm

I may have to post this recipe; but, I'm going to check first to see if there is already one similar that is posted.

My caramelized onion, fig, prosciutto, Feta, arugula, and balsamic pizza. You can use goat cheese; but, I love the firmer texture and salty taste of the Feta. And a good balsamic is great as a drizzle; or you can make a reduction too.
FYI, I brush the crust w/honey and olive oil.

Thank you; I love fresh figs ... so when in season, I can't pass them up. It was super easy and delicious. Something a bit different.

Beautiful Photos KC - I wish we could buy fresh figs but they are very hard to find. When & if you do find them they are either over ripe or green.
I know I would LOVE that combination on a thin crust pizza Mmmmm

Sadly I think you need to live in the middle East to have fresh figs all year around :(

Thx guys; here, they are either Fall or spring for fresh. NOT much else. But, dry works; not as well.

When fresh are in; I take advantage trust me. One of my favorite things. I have 2 left; and, they will not go to waste. I got a huge container; so, 3 meals so far; and, 1 small one left.

Thx so much. Super quick and easy; and, love something a bit different. NO sauce or heavy cheese; very light.

I made a mix of honey and olive oil to brush on the crust first; so, it had a nice sweetness to go with the salty Feta and peppery arugula.
