Pizza

Post by ImPat » Fri Sep 09, 2016 9:23 pm

Last night I enjoyed a mini version of my recipe (equates to about 1/2 serve) with garlic bread and a small side salad it did me well.

I like to make the mini ones for myself, they are about 6 inches round and have with a salad and a piece of garlic bread and it is perfect size as a meal for myself and then no wastage and my blood sugars stay in control.

I second that. I really will eat just about anything on a pizza.

And yes I have made some weird ones and well some not so good and others are OMG and got to remember that combination and the second time around it wasn't just the same and can't figure what I did different  though have to admit to never making my own base always a store bought one.

IM, I hate baking although for parties I do make my own crust. I usually get dough from my local pizza shop and they make it is rounds. Just take home and make; but, you can get balls too. Or frozen. The little dough boy helped me out this week.

But, agreed, made crazy combos, some good, some OK. I'm willing to try anything once. I'm not picky.

NOTE: Adding an infused oil, like red pepper, garlic, herb to the crust before adding sauce ... really is good. And, brush it on the edge crust too. Really makes a good difference; and, really good.

FYI, I always have 1-2 basic cheese pizzas in the freezer, just in case. Nothing wrong with that. I dress them up however I want.

Love the idea of using infused oils must try that next time especially as I have a few in the pantry - a chilli one, a macadamia one and a lemon one - all presents from the daughter and home made from one of here work colleagues who packages and sells oil and spice blends as a second income.
