Long time since we last had this

Post by ImPat » Sun Mar 06, 2016 9:32 pm

Last night I did the prep and the DH cooked our recipe of http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/ginger ... cken-14256 which we haven't done in a long time but were lucky enough to pick up some pork fillet at a ridiculously cheap price and couldn't resist on of our favourite recipes.

That looks and sounds delicious Pat. I have never heard of green ginger, how does it differ from regular ginger??

Another terminology for fresh ginger, in some Asian countries they refer to it as green to differentiate between fresh and dried.

Pork fillet is so expensive usually about $35/kilo but I picked up a kilo at $18 as its best before date was the following day so grabbed it and when I got home vacuumed sealed the two fillets separately and froze them and then just over a week later defrosted one and made this dish.
