Awesome finds Dissie.

I buy a rice pasta very similar to the pasta you have there. I love it. Like elbow macaroni but thinner.

Nice QB. I have found many interesting items at their markets. My friend didn't want to go. Thought, OLD fashioned, not fresh ingredients ... boy was she surprised. she now goes every week. Just shows you ... don't judge something from what you hear.
They are one of my favorite stores to shop at.

I would love to be able to shop at the markets you guys shop at. This is just a local home, where they buy bulk and sell to the other Amish and even us "English" ;) who are lucky enough to be their friends and neighbors. Like I said, no signs or advertisements.

They sell pretty much everything, the straw hats that the men wear, bonnets, fabric, homemade greeting cards they make (Just gorgeous), lids and jars for canning, candles, oil, lanterns, just about anything they could need in their homes. So much other stuff to buy, this is just a small amount of what they have. You name it, they have it. Now there is another Amish Store in a neighboring town where they sell furniture, canned goods and lots of other things....But it is expensive, and more for the tourists who come fishing and hunting up in northern MN. The jars of jelly are like $5.00. They sell baked goods too, and some of their crafty items such as quilts, crotched items etc....
I don't remember if I saw baked goods at this neighborhood home store I go to. Don't think so.

I have only seen those noodles at the Amish store. Consider yourself lucky if you can get them. :)

Thanks for looking at my goodies! Show me your good local finds!

Very much cheaper! Good quality stuff too. Infact right before xmas my mother and I went there and she bought all the girl grandkids spices for their kitchens. They all loved it! ;)
