Dissie-I look at this sorta like I looked at the Barilla no boil pasta lasagna recipe....you know, the one on the side of the pasta box. I was very doubtful that the noodles would cook without adding more liquid to the dish. However, it did work, and still does. Now, I think it's just great that I can eliminate that boiling step. I'm thinking your recipe is going to turn out fine, but I also understand your hesitancy.

Everybody keeps mentioning casseroles with rice that add water. For rice, you need to, as it absorbs almost an equal amount of water before it's no longer hard. Pasta doesn't require much at all. Think about it...when you cook pasta, you drain the water. When you cook rice, all of the water absorbs. ;)

I made the recipe! It was really delicious. I made a few changes, but didn't add liquid! I posted pics over in the photo forum if you would like to see the casserole.
