Going to attempt a smoked chicken tomorrow if I can gather the energy to see it through.

We had a storm come through several weeks back and still getting limbs ( tree ) cleaned up so I can get to my smoker. Hope it's not damaged. I hate relying on my kids to help because it takes to long, I am pretty much wheelchair bound now from my neuropathy and can't do what I used to be able to do. Would have been cleaned up weeks ago if it were me! Cancer is supposedly gone just waiting to have my ostomy reversed.

What's your first smoke going to be? Got any good meats in the freezer?
Cancer leaves me too tired to cook much at all. I've been relying a lot on others and eating their food but it leaves me losing a lot of interest in eating. And not a great time to slack on nutrition either. I need my mojo back.

I just smoked a bunch of fish last week, everything that was left in the freezer, to make room for this year's catch. I vacuum packed it all then gifted most of it to family as we had waaaaay too much :?
I will be doing a couple of chickens this weekend, if the weather permits. It's been a crazy year with storms already this summer.
Sorry to hear about the cancer Sue. From what I know of you, you will definitely giving cancer the best fight ever.

Sorry to hear that Sue, I'm coming out of that place, just need my ileostomy reversed (hopefully within a month) and I will be back to normal.
I have a Tri-tip roast , a ham, lots of wings and some other items I intend to smoke once area is cleaned up and I am back to where I was before the big C!
I will still have my neuropathy to deal with which cancer treatments made worse but I can power through that.
