However did I forget the Chocolate Sheet Cake Elsie! Back in the 70's a student exchange saw to the recipe for Mexican Chocolate sheet cake - an absolute hit at the community potlucks and still one of my most requested recipes!

Very true guys ... many of these have stood the test of time.

Great additions. Shrimp cocktail, sweet and sour, yes yes, cheescake, of course. OMG, I can think of lots of crazy dishes.

Deepster, don't feel bad - I still eat lots of these dishes too :o :o

You guys have given me many things to think about. I am thinking meatballs would be easy to keep hot in a crockpot. My daughter needs something too, so I am going to be showing her the thread. I keep wondering how many jello salads will be made for this. :D
