Great to keep the ham warm in the crock; and serve the buns on the side

As the recipe states, I also layer this and serve as a dip

My antipasto skewers I haven't posted yet; but they are a mix of cubes of ham, cheese, salami, black olives, artichoke hearts, cherry tomatoes and skewer them any way you want. I use the small 3" skewers. I then marinade it a good balsamic dressing all day. I also add some fresh herbs and garlic to the dressing as well.

Great variety Church - just the kind of recipes we are all looking for.

You know you got me with that grandma recipe right! A good recipe for guests who do not like sweet desserts ...Printed, http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/grandm ... dding-cake.

Keep those recipes coming - there are one lot of summer gatherings and parties ahead for all of us! :D

That cake is best served warm - but NOT necessary. It is served more like a pudding vs cutting; but that is what is fun. Just whipped cream and enjoy. DON'T double the recipe as far as a bigger pan. Just make 2 pans. Doubling it for some reason doesn't work well.

Something fun to go with that cake is raspberry preserves heated up. Nothing else - just drizzle over the cake with the whipped cream.

They are really good and easy; just get some chipped ham and good to go. I add the apricot or peach preserves for a bit of sweetness with those Hawaiian King rolls; but you can use anything. Great for parties and easy. I have also used a spiral ham and just chopped everything up fine too. That works just as well.

Just something a bit different, but still classic favorites.

Looking to be a rainy day, there may have to be some changes to the weekend menu as planned. While we do have a barbecue gazebo no one but no one loves the idea of manning the bbq when it's wet and downright chilly. On with the rose coloured glasses - maybe the sun will come out to make for a sunny and warm weekend!

Do come on in and share your special recipes planned for Fathers Day. Let's make this a come to thread for summer potlucks. One can never have too many recipes for these special days. Love summer gatherings!
:D :D :D
